Our reflections on heart health have been deeply personal of late, stirred by my father's recent stent procedure, my sister's heart health scares, and my own inaugural EKG, prompting a search for time with a cardiologist. It begs the question: When we talk about love, why do we often consider our hearts only metaphorically, neglecting the core of what sustains us? This oversight is particularly striking given the subtlety with which heart issues manifest in women, often dismissed until they cannot be ignored.
